The first thing you do mostly in the morning after waking up is scroll. You are already tired.
Sure… Right before you went to bed, you kept scrolling on your phone. Just one more reel… and scroll. Things you said you would do and you added to your task are already delayed.
You keep scrolling. It’s fun, obviously, and is just for a while, right? At the end of the day, you easily say to yourself… “I’m just lazy. It’s one of those days.”
But what if that’s not true?
What if the problem isn’t laziness – but lack of focus?
We live in a world full of distractions.
Your phone. Social media. Constant arrival of notifications.
Endless content. Overload of information. Negative talk, you keep to yourself.
Your attention is constantly being pulled over and over in a hundred different directions. And when your focus is scattered, your energy follows, and nothing gets done.
But you’re not lazy. You’re overwhelmed. It’s the life we live in.
Focus is a skill, and like any skill, it can be trained.

Start with small steps.
Turn off notifications and put your phone away. Trust me, you can live without it for that time. Give yourself 30 minutes of uninterrupted time.
Just 30. It’s not a big number, and as said, it’s a small step.
You’ll be surprised how much you can actually do when your mind is not constantly interrupted.
Motivation comes and goes. But focus creates consistency.
And consistency creates results. You don’t need to do everything.
You just need to do the right thing – without distractions.
So next time you feel like calling yourself lazy, stop.
Take a step back and ask yourself: “What is stealing my focus?”
Fix that. Everything else will start to change.
